I am thrilled for you (or your child) to develop the wonderful skill of playing the piano. Playing the piano has been a great blessing in my life, and I believe it will bring much joy into my students' lives--and, through them, into the lives of countless others. Piano students will develop important skills and attributes, such as diligence and hard work from daily practice, problem solving by learning to apply practice techniques to difficult passages, confidence from learning a new skill, service by using their skill to help others, and many others. I consider it a great blessing to associate with my students and their families, and I hope that we can make this a wonderful association.

About Me

Melissa Tippetts

I have had the joy of teaching piano lessons for 10+ years. I started playing the piano in 5th grade and continued to take lessons and study music throughout college, including taking multiple piano pedagogy courses. I am also a student of the organ for the past 9 years. I am an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and a local chapter of the Utah Music Teachers Association and have enjoyed volunteering on various boards and committees. I am also a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs. I am passionate about making the opportunity to learn to play the piano accessible. I love working with my students and find great joy in their progress.
